Description
Aqaba Flagpole, Jordan, seen from the Fort – digital painting made from a photo where I made some small edits and I added watercolor painting texture. The Aqaba Flagpole in Aqaba, Jordan is a 430 feet tall flagpole, ranking as the 6th tallest free-standing and 7th tallest overall in the world. It proudly flies the flag of the Arab Revolt, symbolizing the Battle of Aqaba in 1917. The flag of the Arab Revolt, or the flag of Hejaz, symbolizes the struggle against the Ottoman Empire during World War I and the emergence of Arab nationalism. Its design includes four symbolic colors: black, white, green, and red. Used by Arab nationalists, it influenced the flags of many Arab states.
